PROGRAM CONTENT

UNIT 1: COACHING CONCEPTS
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- gain a clear understanding of the ICF definition of coaching
- familiarize themselves with coaching principles
- understand the differences between coaching, guidance, mentoring, psychotherapy, counseling, training, and management
- learn to distinguish between “Self 1″ and ” Self 2″ based on T.Gallwey’s system of “Inner Game”
UNIT 2: TAKING A COACH POSITION
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- find out what constitutes the position of “coach”
- realize how avoiding judgment affects communication
- understand the value of dissociativeness in management using examples
- understand the cost of directivity for business
- analyze the level of trust in a team according to 4 parameters
UNIT 3: THE COACHING APPROACH TO MANAGEMENT
AS A RESULT, PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- gain experience in conducting conversations in a non-directive style
- recognize the differences between directive and non-directive style
- develop non-directive management style skills
- determine the place of the coaching approach in the cycle of management functions
UNIT4: QUESTIONS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF THE COACHING DIALOGUE
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- solve problems related to their specific goals using ready-made coaching questions
- learn about J. Starr’s criteria for coaching questions
- practice formulating questions based on the intent of the question
- gain practical experience in creating questions fitting the criteria, using management case studies
UNIT 5: STRUCTURE OF THE COACHING CONVERSATION
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- get acquainted with “the model T” (Miles Downey) and conduct coaching conversations using the T-model
- learn about the criteria for goals in coaching, and practice asking questions at the goal-setting stage
- gain practical experience in formulating their own questions using the GROW model
- hold coaching conversations using the GROW model and get feedback
UNIT 6: CREATING PARTNER RELATIONS
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- learn the feedback features in a coaching format (according to Marshall Goldsmith), practice this skill, and recognize the advantages of this method
- familiarise themselves with ways of building successful partnerships with employees
- develop arguments for the importance of affiliate coaching position when working with your employees through Beckhard’s Formula for Change
- learn about David Clutterbuck’s 4-levels of listening markers and practice in-depth listening
UNIT 7: COACHING TOOLS TO IMPROVE
EMPLOYEE AWARENESS AND INVOLVEMENT
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- get acquainted with the Scale technique and its applications in different formats of managerial communication
- watch a demonstration coaching session showing the use of the Scale technique
- practice using the Scale technique
- get acquainted with the Coaching Wheel technique and its applications,
get practical experience using this technique
