Mentoring is a non-directive method of developing another person, aimed at unlocking potential, encouraging independent decision-making and including leading questions and the transfer of experience.

UNIT 1: ADVANTAGES OF MENTORING AS A METHOD
UNIT TOPICS: What is Mentoring in the 21st Century? In what cases is mentoring needed, and what are the benefits of mentoring for the mentor? Forms of organizing mentoring in a company; differences of mentoring from guidance, coaching, business training, and consulting.
RESULTS: After finishing the unit, participants will learn to distinguish development methods, understand the meaning of mentoring, form a pool of decisions concerning the cases where mentoring is needed, and discover formats that mentoring in the company can be organized in.
UNIT 2: WHO IS A MENTOR?
UNIT TOPICS: Who can become a mentor (criteria for selecting a mentor)? 5 competencies of the mentor (according to EMCC, European Mentoring and Coaching Council), markers of competencies
RESULTS: After finishing the unit, participants will get acquainted with the mentoring competencies and learn about the criteria for selecting mentors, how to determine who the mentoring will be useful for the most and who needs alternative development methods.
UNIT 3: CONTENT OF THE MENTORING PROCESS
UNIT TOPICS: The structure of the mentor’s extensive work with mentees; how to draw up a mentoring program; Tools for mentoring sessions: leading questions / GROW model / “menu” technique / storytelling, etc.
RESULTS: After finishing the unit, participants will get an idea of how the entire mentoring program looks long-term, learn how to conduct mentoring sessions, gain practical experience in applying the GROW model, learn how to formulate high-quality, leading questions, and practice how to share managerial experience through storytelling.
